Update on Bob

Mr Bob is becoming a grumpy demanding old dog! No other way to put it, I am afraid to say he is relishing the role. If there were a doggy version of Father Ted, he would be Father Jack! He doesn’t call for whiskey though he did lick some off my fingers with great enthusiasm which would indicate that if a bowl or glass were offered it would not be refused.Bob still makes everyone smile, as he plods about the house, walking under the visiting Brooke (Greyhound of a very leggy variety) as though she were not there. His meds have increased a little and on each occasion, I call to the vets to get a new batch, they express their surprise and delight that he is still king of the castle. I have attached a few photos of the grumpy, sometimes smiling old dog. Please note I did try bribery to get him to look at the camera, but…

Another Year

We, are celebrating another full year of blogging. Thank you to everyone who has connected with myself and my chunky, cuddly dogs.

I was away for a few days and Bob (and Ellie) were being taken care of by my son. He took pity on Bob who does not have a very exciting life and brought him to work with him for a day. The pictures below show a very relaxed chilled out dog, letting the exertions of everyone at the gym wash over him. He was only interested in hugs, or so they thought.

However, during the afternoon, Bob decided it was time for him to take a little creative walk.

He set off, unknown to those working out.

Another athlete walking into the gym couldn’t understand why his remark created such a fuss. “I have just seen a very nice looking husky sitting patiently outside the cupcake factory door.”

Yep, you guessed it, Bob decided his new best friends were going to be the makers of some very nice cupcakes. And everyone thinks Ellie is the smart one!

Bob’s Diary: Start like you mean to continue

Have you broken your New Years Resolution yet?

All around me I hear people, dogs, cats even birds saying they are disgusted with themselves for they have broken their promise to get fitter, or slimmer.

Well I am proud to say I have not broken mine.

Because I have no desire to learn how to swim, drive a boat,

I like me just the way I am.

Now can someone please tell Maria this as she insists a two mile walk is good for me.

Bobs Diary: A word that should be banished.

There are many great things in this life but once Maria mentions the “W” word.

Bob’s Diary: Training and Trees.

Good morning

I have been put on a strict training program but I have a plan.

My tactics are as follows.

1. Wag tail enthusiastically at strangers – this encourages petting and stopping time.

2. Keep looking up into the trees. Maria stops to wonder what I am looking at and I get another rest.ippipp

3. Bark at hedges. Another stop while Ellie investigates the cause of my barking.

I have to say it is working wonderfully and I really do not mind walking when I apply these few simple steps.
