Our favorite things, by Bob & Ellie

Some of this list will not be a surprise to many people.

Bob’s top 5 favourite things

1. A soft cushion to lie on – important for aging creaking bones – even if I sometimes roll off it.
2. A bone to crunch on – the crunching reminds our two legged friends that we are still here.
3. Sunshine and kids, – Sunshine provides much needed heat and the kids provide much needed treats. (M has me on a diet again.)
4. Dinner – I dream in food in particular, strawberries.
5. A hug – who doesn’t like a hug?

Ellie’s top 5 favourite things,

1 . She doesn’t care what size or colour but specifies there should be plenty of tennis balls

3. Working, particularly in wooded areas

 

4.  Boat trips, they come in handy for collecting lost in the river tennis balls.

Bob’s Diary: Start like you mean to continue

Have you broken your New Years Resolution yet?

All around me I hear people, dogs, cats even birds saying they are disgusted with themselves for they have broken their promise to get fitter, or slimmer.

Well I am proud to say I have not broken mine.

Because I have no desire to learn how to swim, drive a boat,

Puddling about – an update from the canine pool

We did return for another session to the hydrotherapy pool and much to our surprise, Ellie wanted to go into the pool.

This time we had a surprise in store for her – a surf board.

Unfortunately we had so much fun we didn’t get to take photos, this time. We reckon it is an achievement to get a collie pushing off a board into the pool, but then again there were balls involved and we all know her love for tennis balls.

Maria’s Diary: Pictures of a helper who needed rescuing.

Ellie loves to work as everyone knows and Bob, well Bob is Bob and he loves to sit.

But Ellie’s last training session brought many tears, of laughter as our exercise almost ended with a helper floundering about in the water. When Ellie found him he was adrift in the river without a paddle on a sinking boat.  He was rescued. And as you can see the boat survived as did Ellie’s pal, Fred.
